Crop mastery in Farmville is a quite fresh innovation by Zynga. You begin working on mastery after level 10 and will keep on adding points toward it throughout your Farmville gaming career. For each successful square of field that you harvest, you get a single point of mastery. For example, a 16×16 field of ripe wheat will give you 256 mastery points. Go to the Market and look at the entry underneath every picture of harvest so you can verify your points. To help you discern where you are in mastering the crop, there is a progress bar and 3 stars. Get the three stars to master a crop!

How to Master a Crop
Plant and harvest then plant and harvest yet again. Repeat these steps multiple times. The number of points needed to master a seed is not the same for each seed.

The Point of Crop Mastery
Mastery is more about showing off and a little bit about earning farmville coins. You receive a sign that you can display on your farm once you attain all three levels of mastery. Your visitors will know that you have mastered a specific crop when they see the sign. Moreover, mastery also keeps the game appealing as you start to reach advanced levels where you do not unlock new crops or items.

You unlock the capacity to harvest premium crops when you get mastery of a crop. Premium crops occur at random throughout your harvest and give you additional xp. Keep in mind that it will only work for the crop that you currently have mastery in. Post it near the field as you may also need to use the sign that comes with your achievement. Mastering a small number of crops is a wonderful idea to help you to level up quickly by getting extra xp points. So that you can go through as many harvests as possible, you will possibly want to select something with a rather quick harvest time.

The most valuable free resources that the game gives you access to are neighbors. Head on toFarmville Neighbors for further information.
